THE SPANISH NATIONAL DRAMA CENTRE PLANS AND SCHEDULES WITH THEATRON

02.04.2024

We are excited to announce that the Spanish Centro Dramático Nacional (National Drama Centre, also known as CDN) has started to use Theatron as their streamlining digital tool.

The CDN was created in 1978 in Madrid and it is the first theatre production unit created by the National Institute for Performing Arts and Music, which operates under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and “is responsible for coordinating and developing the programs related to music, dance, theatre and circus” (source: cultura.gob.es). It is headquartered in two separate venues: the Theatre María Guerrero and the Theatre Valle-Inclán.

The CDN has a continuous program in both theatres, while it also occasionally tours in Spain and internationally. “The main mission of the CDN has been to disseminate and consolidate the different currents and trends of contemporary dramaturgy, with special attention to current Spanish authorship” (source: cdn.mcu.es).

We hope for a long and successful collaboration!
